The United Kingdom

On many occasions you can give the same name to concepts that in England, England or Great Britain ... but, what is the real difference between these terms? ...
Well, the full name of the whole archipelago of the British Isles is called "The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland".
Great Britain is the largest island of this archipelago and is divided into three historic countries: England, Wales and Scotland ...

The other part of the archipelago corresponds to the island of Ireland which is composed of two countries: "Ireland", which does not belong to the United Kingdom, and "Northern Ireland" which does belong ...

The common term United Kingdom also includes Northern Ireland together with the nations that make up Great Britain, as well as other small islands, such as the Isles of Scilly, the Hebrides, the Orkneys and the Isle of Wigh.
